Identity Theft Protection - Protection Against Identity Theft

Child Identity Theft Protection

Imagine this for a minute......

Your child goes to get his or her first bank account, credit card, car, or any other financial transaction and finds out that their credit has been shot and they already have credit cards and loans in their name that they never took out. Would that be a shock or what? Child identity theft protection is a serious thing and the reason thieves target children is because they don't check their credit and the thieves know they can get away with the theft for many years before they ever get caught.

You need to protect your child as soon as possible. Children are just as vulnerable to identity theft as everybody else and in many cases even more vulnerable because they don't check their credit or really have any reason to. It is so easy for a thief to get a hold of a child's social security number and use it to ruin them before they are even old enough to do it themselves.

Think about this reality for a moment.....

Your child has their identity stolen at the age of 12 and when they turn 18 they apply for a car loan. They get turned down even with you as a co signer because they have multiple warrants out for their arrest, but they never committed the crimes. This can and does happen. Over 10% of child identity thefts end up giving that child a criminal record that was not their fault. Criminals are ruthless and will do anything if they know it will not hurt them.

Your child needs to be protected from this tragedy. We like to step inside the "oh, it will never happen to me" bubble, but it can happen to you and 1 in 4 households falls victim to identity theft. That is not the type of odds that you should be betting on.

Child identity theft protection is almost as important as making your child wear a coat when it is cold or teaching them not to put their hand on a hot stove. It is a necessity and you should protect your young ones early on so that they can have all the opportunities they deserve in the future.
